Wedding in Dallas

Sept. 5th, 2020

Always an honor to be a part of the special day when a couple ties the knot and says their vows!  Even with the pandemic (and maybe especially because of the pandemic), love is in the air!  In June, I partnered with a violinist and played Christian and classical wedding songs outdoors (forgot to get pictures), and this wedding in September is for the couple that got engaged the year before at Dallas Arboretum-bride walked in to the tune of "A Thousand Years" (Twilight movie theme) and exited with Jason Mraz' "I'm Yours" .

Harpy Birthday

June 22nd, 2020

A special young lady turned 14 and her mom surprised her with an hour of live harp music.  I got to start the performance with "Harpy Birthday", a fun 7-minute long piece of Happy Birthday medley in the styles of Beethoven, Bizet, and Mozart, and played a mix of contemporary and sentimental 60's song, Fields of Gold by Sting, and Colors of the Wind (Pocahontas/Disney).

New Year's Eve Dinner at Legacy

Dec.. 31st, 2019

Ringing in the New Year 2020 with the residents at an assisted living center, Legacy at Bear Creek.  It was my second time playing for this audience, and they were so sweet and appreciative.

Christmas lunch at Elmcroft

Dec.. 19th, 2019

Caroling with the harp at a nursing home in Arlington.  A resident requested Pachelbel Canon in D and luckily I had the sheet music with me!  She was elated to hear it on harp.

Beauty and the Beast Orchestra

Dec. 6th-8th, 2019

Orchestra gig: harp part in a high school musical production of Beauty and the Beast.  I was one of a handful of professionals playing alongside some very talented, hardworking high school band musicians.

Ladies' Thanksgiving High Tea

Nov. 26th, 2019

Blessed to partake in this ladies' fellowship-a gathering of 200 faithful women sharing the message of God-about angels.  I was surrounded by a room full of them at First Baptist Church!  Among the favorites that I played as a soloist were "O Holy Night" and "What Child Is This".

Surprise Marriage Proposal

June 1st, 2019

Played at Dallas Arboretum for a surprise engagement-lots of romantic music-classical songs such as Reverie (Dream) and some Debussy songs, intermixed with oldies-Can't Help Falling in Love and Moon River. She said yes!

Background Music at Restaurant

February 14th, 2019

Had a great time sharing Valentine songs and classical repertoire mid-February, and enjoyed meeting some of the guests.  Hoping I may have some playing opportunities at nursing homes, hospitals, and retirement homes.  I will be playing at DeVivo Bros. Eatery again Saturday, March 9th, 2019 from 11 am to 1 pm.  Their address is 750 S. Main Street, Suite 165, Keller, TX 76248.  Hope to see you there!

Christmas Music at a private home and church

December 24th, 2018

The melodies of Christmas carols resonated on my harp at the home of one of the 5 select homes for Trophy Women's Club best decorated Christmas homes.  The same season that year, I played at my church, Fellowship of the Parks Keller Campus before the following services: 2 pm, 3:15 pm, 4:30 pm, and 5:45 pm.  https://fotp.church/christmas/

Love on You Mommy Ministry

December 13, 2018

"The sound of the harp is an unique string instrument and Irene has a way of beautifully merging the classic and the modern sounds to create an experience that is both warm and inviting to your ears. She definitely brings a style that elevates the party to another level as she blessed the women attending my annual Christmas brunch in my home and her performance was without question one of the highlights of the event!" ~Jackie Hardy

Summer Brunch

June 25th, 2018 and June 22nd, 2019

A few months ago Irene played her harp at an annual brunch I hold in my home. Everyone who heard her was enthralled, including those who had never witnessed or heard a harp played at such close quarters. For months after the event, we talked about what we heard, saw, and learned. (Yes, "learned," because Irene's short talk about and demonstration of the harp's past, present, and possibilities was both entertaining and enlightening.) We are eagerly looking forward to next year's performance. Beyond being royally entertained, you will build an indelibly wonderful memory if you hire Irene to entertain you and your company.
